  • That looks like an awesome place to visit.  I mean if anything, surrounding oneself with history history makes for an interesting experience.  The ambiance, or as some might argue, the soul of the place, can have an impact on an individual in unexpected ways.

(Though, I’d most likely keep blurting out “Blücher” at every chance I got.)

  • that’s a fabulous idea, because we can have a Xanga-meet-up . Even though I don’t live anywhere near that castle. I’ve been there though, it’s beautiful.

  • Castles and cakes of Germany–definitely sound like fantastic plans to me to do before you die, and I like the idea of raising a family and seeing my kids raise theirs as well…If at all else, I can adopt a child if I never marry…but in the mean time I am going to enjoy the ride.  What I would like to do before I die, backpack across Europe and the United States–let’s see if I can knock that off my bucket list!!! :)

  • Yay for castles :D

  • @Lakakalo - Yes I am curious how the place will feel.
Esspecially old castles and things, there are a few in the UK too of course, but nowhere near as cool aas those ones.

@under_the_carpet - :D Oooo you lucky German you! Can you actually go inside that place?
And yes I’d love to meet you at some point :D you can teach me some cool german words.

@Endless21Echos - :) sounds all very possible…just make sure to find some cakes while you are backpacking ;)

    @xdeelynnx - hehe I want one!

  • That castle loks great

  •          Bede–I need to find some cakes first though while out backpacking, though I love ice cream any good places to try that in Scotland?  At any rate, I feel so cold here even though it is in the low 80′s F and by Thursday we are expected to have temps over 100*F…and it is not even the first of July, I wonder what the rest of our summer will be like.  How is life for you this week?

  • @Nushirox2 - :) Yea I love that type of building.

@Endless21Echos - Hmm yea we have Icecream here :P but i’ve not made a map of the good places yet ;)
O.O wow I’d be dying of heat stroke at those temps…but i guess it’s good it’ll get hotter if you are feeling cold.

Here’s it’s been really amazing and sunny for weeks, which is super unusual…but the cloud and rain is slowly coming back over the last couple days…it’s still really dry though.
And my life has been pretty good last few week too thanks :D hope things have been good for you.

  • me too I want to see castles in Europe really bad. Even just one.

  • :) Glad to hear things are going so well, and that you get to enjoy some sunshine while it lasts. Cincinnati normally has really warm summers, because of the humidity and what not…I really enjoy the hot weather, however for some reason the last few days I have been cold–which is weird considering some of the health conditions I have been faced with as of late.  Life has been good for the most part, just taking things slowly and to take it one moment at time. All and all though no real compliants just want to feel better emotionally and physically–working on trying to get some YOGA in regularly.

PS What is your favorite ice cream flavor?  Where would you travel and why…?!

Sorry if the questions seem to be a bit too much.

    Erin

  • @Ikwa - Yea they really knew how to make a building back then :)

    @Endless21Echos - No worries Erin :)
Favourite Icecream flavour…hmm well it depends on the thing i’m eatin, if it’s with something like a pie then Vanilla, but on it’s own then probably mint.
And where would I travel?…well Europe would be nice, but also want to go out to East Asia some time soon I hope and I would kind of like to see some place in America eventually.

I’m sorry to hear you’ve had some health issues, I hope everything is healing up well and you are happy :)
If you are able to do Yoga then you are on the right path anyway, thats a brilliant exercise for both mind and body.

So what about you? any dream travel locations?

  • @SaintBlue1131 - yeah you can. It is quite impressive too. I remember the throne room with tons of gold everywhere and a mosaic floor and the bed, which they said was surprisingly large for the time (almost like a normal bed) and there was a stalactite cave in the castle, and a ceiling with many little lamps that looked like a sky with stars (or was suppossed to). Ludwig II was suspected to have died of suicide (drowned in a lake /pond that really wans’t deep) and when we heard that he also liked the depressing tunes of Richard Wagner to speak with my moms words, and saw all the dark wood constructions in the castle she was like “well, no wonder he was depressed”. She didn’t really love it. But it is like…there’s art in every corner so it’s  definitely cool.  Aaanyway, I found a cool link with a virtual tour:
     http://www.zdf.de/ZDFmediathek/hauptnavigation/startseite/#/beitrag/interaktiv/997640/Schloss-Neuschwanstein:-360%C2%B0-Rundgang
when you click the fields below the little map you can visit all places that are accesible for the public.

  • @SaintBlue1131 - Dream travel locations, I want to visit Prague, Belerus–my aunt is from there, orginally…and met my uncle here in the States.  I want to go to Thailand, Shir Lanka, New Zealand, etc…and so many other places I want to travel out west in the United States, etc…I want to travel a lot actually and need to find the means to do so…as for the UK I would love to see Scotland and Wales as well.

  • Well, of course Germany has one huge drawback: it’s full of Germans!

  • @Zissu25 - haha aww bit harsh on the poor Germans :P …but they can be a bit odd sometimes ;)

@Endless21Echos - Wow…I want to go travelling with you! ;) those sound like great places.

  • @under_the_carpet - WOW Thank you :D

It has caves aswell!…coolest castle EVER

  • @Zissu25 - I DID NOT READ THIS!

  • @SaintBlue1131 - hahaha harsh but fair :)

  • @under_the_carpet - was? bist du deutsch? das wusste ich gar nicht hahaha
es gibt natürlich viele gute leute in deutschland :P

  • @SaintBlue1131 - YOU can definitely go traveling with me…if and when I ever get around to it, and besides I would love to have the company, and you can show me where you live and I would love to see where you live as well…We could show each other our native countries.

So random question time…Who is your biggest influence in life and why?!

  • @Zissu25 - haha, ja bin ich . Du sprichst gut deutsch!

  • @Endless21Echos - Sorry for the long delay :S I get side tracked easily :P

Biggest influance…hmmm I guess probably my close family (mum dad, bro)
And mainly my brother since we spent so much time together when growing up he kind of filled most of my role model positions.

  • @under_the_carpet - Vielen Dank!aber mein Deutsch ist doch ganz begrenzt. Woin Deutschlandwohnst du? :)
