Whats the Secret To…
Korean Hair.
This post is a letter to Jun @Junbelievable08 of team ASSCAT and is a request for him to share the secrets of Korean Hair.
I am a big fan of Korean cinema and have watched a number of Korean films including the film Tidal Wave entirely in Korean (with no subs) even though i don’t actually speak a word of the language. :S
But while I love the sound of Korean, the style, the point of view and humour, prehaps the most eye catching is always the Hair, somehow Korean heroes have epic hair at all times, no matter if it’s wet, dry, burnt, blood soaked or otherwise compromised it always looks incredible.
Is this just a lucky quirk of being Korean? or is there some secret process that has been developed in hidden parts of Korea to change normal hair into the epicness of Korean Hair.
To illustrate my point here are some Korean actors (mostly from my favourite ever Korean Film ‘The Good The Bad and The Weird’)
Would it ever be possible for me to one day change from this…..
To this….
With Respect,
yours sincerely.
Bede

You look like a Beatle. An Emo Beatle. =shudders at the thought=
Haha, I’m sure you could possibly perm it or something to get that look.
The secret is…..eating lots of kimchi, it adds sheen to your hair….and a really fobby hairdresser, that’ll help too
*edit* didnt see shawns post..
Soju.. the secret is Soju..
soju, kimchi & lots of beef =]
that hair doesn’t look any different from hair i’ve seen in any other asian drama, korean or not. and as far as i can tell, there’s nothing wrong with yours! good hair just requires that you keep it in its natural color and texture as much as possible. try to stay away from highlighting, dyeing, and all that jazz.
soju makes it that way.
i have to agree korean hair is pretty sexy. i had a seat partner one time who was a korean fob. i couldn’t stop staring at his hair.
@nerdyveggiegirl - @Timmmmmmy - @CaKaLusa - STOP SHARING MY SECRETS ABOUT THE SOJU!!!!!
@junbelievable08 - mmm… soju. basically a k-town aphrodisiac! =] *tosses hair*
I like Korean movies too
lol straightener or perm
Soju and lots of product. Be careful around fire and electrical devices. It might go poof.
@Rainboxx - Lol that would be pretty creepy :S
and my hair dose go a bit beatle-y when it gets long.
@Roadlesstaken - Korean hair transcends a perm ;P
but i suppose it’s a good plan B
@junbelievable08 - Ah-ha the secret to the sheen is mine!!!! now all i need is Kimchi and lots of it….and to find out what it is, hurray for google
@Timmmmmmy - lol Soju eh? the plot thickens…or should that be perm thickens.
@nerdyveggiegirl - Hmmm might have to become and even more flexible Veggy than i already am, but for Korean hair i think it’s worth it.
Thanks for the add btw
@wyrdkismet - Well I will agree that Asians have pretty great hair in general, but theres just something about the ‘Soju effect’ that special hehe
And thanks the only thing thats ‘wrong’ with my hair is it’s not Korean
@CaKaLusa - Thats three for Soju, I’ve gotta get me some!:)
@clubsmiley - I don’t know how anyone could resist, did he do a lot of smoldering looks from behind his fringe?
@junbelievable08 - hahaha the secrets out now
all i need now is an industrial amount of both Soju and Kimchi.
@nerdyveggiegirl - hehe So there’s more than one benefit to the Soju huh?
@firetyger - I’m a pretty big fan of most Asian cinema, but i’ve been really impressed by many of the recent Korean films
often a very interesting perspective and stylisation.
@pika_whoosh - Well if the Kimchi and Soju fails, i’ll go for the perm…but without the right hair to start with it could just make me look like i’m in the 80′s :S
@stupid_systemus - I think a little bit of spontaneus combustion is worth it for such epic hair
LOL This made me laugh!
I’m sure there are wigs out there like that.
@Novietaaa - Yea thats a good point, i’d not thought of a wig.
I don’t feel it would come with the same confidence though
Congratz, I hope these 1000 eprops give you your Korean Drama hair!
@sonychak - Oooo I’m Rich! hehehe *rolls around in a pile of eprops*
Thanks man, This will be put to good use
Lol, you do look Beatle-y.
Grow it long, then carry a bucket of water and every now and then dunk your head in it.
@livexlovexlaughter - I’m the Fab one
@Nushirox2 - LOL well it’s certianly low cost, and i’ll also get pretty fit….but i might try the Soju first
LOL you look marvellous with that hair!
