Recently LKJ Slain laid down the silk embroidered glove of challenge by writing a poem about men and why they are lucky to be thier gender.

But quite frankly i disagree, girls have got it better on all counts so below is my responce to her Poem.

Oh Woman

How could it be that to some your less than me?

Nothing sounds so foolish or perverse as someone saying women are less than us.

In Nature, that which shows true balance, men serve for only dance or violence.

While we strut and show our plumes, you bear young and build homes.

Oh Woman

Your miraculous bodies; you give us life,

your our mother, our beloved sister, our sacred wife.

With your beauty and your grace you have become humanities face,

TV, Magazines, in our thoughts and our dreams.

Please forgive us our sins, let us play at lords and kings for without you our lives would be empty things.

Suprise me: Be unusual, odd, inventive i love it when i’m talking to someone and they come out with something strange or suprising.

Be Relaxed: I don’t take life all that seriously i like to just be relaxed and calm, so being okay with things being the way they are would be nice. (although to be honest the exact opposite would also be fine…but then tolerance would be important lol)

Be Creative: I love people who are able to be creative and I find talents and skills very attractive, dance, music, art any of those are going to catch my eye.

Intimacy: I want to be with someone i can be completely open with, so sharing and trust will go a long way with me.

Nerdiness: Okay it’s not vital i suppose but it would certinaly help if you like computer games and are willing to be at least a bit geeky.

Girliness: I love women and femininity, so don’t be afriad to be girly

Posetivity: This is more general that just to win my heart. I like people much more and much quicker if they look on the bright side and are willing to laugh and joke.

Kids: I want em, so if you want my heart thats gotta be on the cards, or at least be an option.

nine things about me:

The only pastime I can do for an almost unlimited ammount of time is play computer games.
There are almost no genres or platforms i’ve not played and enjoyed, but my favorites are either management or tycoon sims or FPS (first person shooters) and almost always PC over any other type.

I have no official education. no degrees or whatever they are’s lol
I was homeschooled largely with little to no structured systems, I have all the skills it’s not like i can’t read and write but i have no qualifications.

I love to draw and my dream occupation would be a Movie or Game concept artist…but i really don’t practice nearly as much as i should and i’m not that great with the computer side yet so that dream is more for the future.

I’ve only broken one bone so far in my life, it was my finger and it happened when me and my brother interlocked fingers by accident and twisted in opposite directions, there was a horrible snap sound and for a moment neither of us knew who’d been hurt.
After it re-set that finger is now straighter than the one on my other hand.

Although both my parents were born in the UK I am (genetically speaking) half Ukrainian on my mums side,
Both her parents were immegrants from the Ukraine.
Sadly i don’t speak russian or ukrainian due to my mum having been raised pretty much entirely english and i’ve never been to the Ukraine but someday i’d sort of like to.

I have odd circulation in my extremities, which means that for most of the time my hands and feet are cold to the touch.
So much so in fact that often i’m suprised when i touch something someone else has been holding or stand where someone with barefeet has been standing and find it to be warm, when ever i hold something it usually stays cool or just serves to drain heat from me.

I’m Vegitarian and have been for many years, I started because of concerns about the food mass production system, not really because of the cruelty but mainly because the end product isn’t very healthy.
Also because my life style dosen’t really require the ammounts of protene and energy meat provides.

I was almost called Beaumains, but my folks thought i might get picked on so they went for the far less odd Bede….:P hehe

I’ve always wanted to go to Germany…but for the life of me i can’t figure out why.
So far i’ve only been out of the UK twice, to Antigua and Italy.

As always later than i’d hoped here’s another hero for the XL side…..sort of, this one is an Anti-hero neither good nor bad.

I’m still meaning to get on with my picture-less comic too but stuff and good weather keep getting in the way.

QuantumStorm

QuantumStorm was a lone researcher left to monitor the worlds most powerful Quantum Computer over night when warning came through that a massive solar storm was about to hit the earth, as it did the power grid surrounding the research lab failed and it internal generator kicked in.
But the storm kept gaining in intensity and soon the lights began to flicker and fail, left with no option and unwilling to watch years of work and millions of dollars be destroyed Quantum allowed the computer access to the internet.

In milliseconds it had spread throughout the world gather untold amounts of data and knowledge, but in it’s rush to explore and expand it drained immense power from it’s base and as it was still entangle with it’s physical presence began to die once more, this time the computer took action and linked with the huge solar energy engulfing the entire region around the lab, as it did a unique form of radiation was created and consumed the lab.

After the blast of Quantum Radiation the lab was reduced to ruins and within them QuantumStorm stirred.

QuantumStorm is now a Quantum entity no longer entirely human, with his immense knowledge and power he has evolved beyond good and evil and so he can be cold and is more than willing to sacrifice tens if not hundreds of lives to achieve a goal.
Hard to predict and control QuantumStorm can seem to be both enemy and ally but with his ultimate goal of progress, life and evolution he is counted as one of the heroes.

QuantumStorms powers are strange and many, his teleportation and QuantumDuplication allow him to instantly be anywhere aswell as allowing him to simultaneously be in upto 4 locations at once.
He can also destabilize the quantum structure of the world around him which can be used as a terrible weapon, added to those skills is his global knowledge which allows him to use and create some almost alien technology. 

Having spent most of my life with him there is no one i’m closer to than my brother, we share similar jokes, thoughts and approches.

But despite that it never fails to amaze me that we are ENTIRELY different from each other. I honestly can’t stress that enough, it is infact a wonder we get on so well, we think differently we value different things we dissagree on almost every level of how to live.

So taking my experiance as an example and expanding the idea the potential and possibilites for differance and variance between people and different cultures is incredible. It also leaves the conclusion that even if you take two people and expose them to the same enviroment and same activities not only will you get two different people but it would seem that their experiances will for them have differed entierly, or at least their perceptions will have.

Somehow humans manage to generate our own personal perceptions, that give us effectively our own worlds and from within these individual worlds we interact with others and events that shape us, but how we are shaped and what influances us can never be truely shared.

This strange system of reality allows for infinite invention and diversity, because it’s sheer complexity means that noone is the ‘same’ that nothing has ‘been done before’ because everything you do and everyone you ever meet will never have been done or met by anyone before within your world, We are totally and completely unique and vital for our realities.

Perhaps the strangest thing though is that somehow even though we effectively live in our own little universe we still manage to interact with others, or even get on and feel like we understand each other. Now this can either mean we’re all just talking to really complex imaginary friends or the thing that allows us to interact is not of our own personal worlds or perceptions, that some where ‘out there’ beyond us there is something else that connects everything and everyone and ignores the uncalculable differance and veriety and simply allows communication that we then take and paint acording to our own perception.  

I think i’ve posted something similar to this before but hey, it was on my mind again and perhaps i was clearer this time.

I recently had a realisation thats pretty obvious and simple but i hadn’t actually put it together in my mind coherantly before so i thought i’d share.

For the last few months i’ve been a bit low, not seriously depressed or even all that sad but in the back of my mind and when i was left to my own thoughts i was feeling a bit blue, and I wasn’t untill now really sure why…

I’m pretty damn lucky and blessed as regards most things, and in fact spend most of my time playing or relaxing…but despite that and even despite the wonderful weather recently i was still bothered by something.

But today and in the past few days, i’ve been getting back to what passes as work for me (which i’d stopped due to being very ill) and today after doing a few hours of website-y stuff i suddenly realise i was feeling happy, not for any reason (that i could initially identify) just generally happy.

And as i thought about it i realised what had changed. Despite not really thinking that i enjoyed it or valuing it (above say computer games or enjoying the day) spending the few hours getting on with work had given me a sense of purpose and meaning which i’d been missing.

Logically i still de-value work over play but emotionally i need that balance, and thats the epiphany i realised:

If your unhappy and your not sure why then don’t look to distractions, entertainments or even ‘problems’ to fix but rather take a look at whats out of balance in your life, even if you discover it’s something that you ‘think’ you don’t want or don’t need perhaps emotionally there are links and influances that are having an effect without your logical mind being aware.

In our lives as in nature balance is key and unfortunately we all too often fall out of balance due to our analytical and logical minds getting stuck on one path or simply because of a lack of clarity, so my advice to myself and to everyone if you are unhappy or bothered by something you can’t quite place take a moment to look for balance.
