Almost Human
Well I tried, I gave being a real functioning human being my best shot and they told me I needed a bit more practice
lolYea so for those who are interested I have not gotten my job, the project went well in the end (despite some annoyance and a re-start)…but it was still too much of a gamble for them to hire me at my current skill level…which is fair enough.
But even though I didn’t get it, I did learn quite a few handy tricks for future work…and might still stand a chance in the future if I improve my skill level in certain areas…and come on what have I actually lost here?
I could have had all the fun of a day job:

But instead i’m still able to do this: (BTW by this I mean run around with sparklers…not propose lol
)Haha
okay well maybe not, I actually have to keep working at home with pretty much the same amount of effort and none of the money
hmm ah well.So on that note…does anyone want a website by any chance?
…I do need practice and currently I’m relatively happy to do it for a decent price since I feel like i’m still learning and thus shouldn’t ask for too much.Bit of a long shot maybe posting on my blog but if you don’t ask you don’t receive.
Also on the subject of websites since my test project has finished I’ve had time to get back to previous efforts such as this site which offers photographic prints and postcards of rather good photography.
Like this:

And this:

Check it out and let me know if you like the layout and there are no glaring mistakes…sadly (though I have put a lot of work into this) the platform is just WordPress so none of the coding is mine, just the graphics and layout choices etc.
Also if you really like it, I and the owner of the photos would very much appreciate the extra traffic generated by any shares you can give to your respective social networks.
Please feel no obligation though…I hate using this site to generate ‘business’ type stuff, so basically if you really like it then help it out but if not then don’t worry
Oh and finally I have so many new good ideas…well new ideas not sure of the goodness…for up coming posts, and thats another benefit of no job…more Xanga time
But look forwards to Super Heroes, Stories, Gibberish and movies
And even more finally Have a good Week end!

This was such a nice humorous post despite the news regarding that job offer. Maybe you could use that experience by mentioning it to other businesses that might take the risk of hiring you or figure something out. Anyway, I do like the layout choices of that site and sparklers could be fun, yes. =)
May you have a pleasant weekend, too.
This can only mean that something better is on the horizon for you! They will be sorry! Naturally, not as sorry as I was that you missed our coffee date to go light sparklers around that couple! What the hello were you thinkin?
Went to the site….. Very cool…….. Left a comment……. (Um, you’ll probably be fired tomorrow.)
I tell ya, Saint, eventually the Saints do come marchin in. I have proof: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Byy3brToS84&feature=related
Sorry you didn’t get the job
I have a serious project for you, if I’m allowed to ask you (I’m not the head honcho for the project so I have to ask someone). I mentioned to you before that I’m working on my church’s website. It operates on Joomla. I don’t know what exactly Joomla is, I’m not an internet guru haha. The other people I’m working with and I have decided that our website needs a face-lift with the layout and design. It’s quite bland and it needs a bit more interest and colour. For example, we’d LOVE to have on our main page several photos that are like a slideshow. I only know how to add content to the website with articles, and I’m slowly trying to figure out how to edit the menus because data is repeating for a few things I write up
If you can figure out how to create/edit/modify layouts on a Joomla-run website, I know that I personally would like to give you the opportunity for you to help us. Sadly, I don’t think we’d be able to pay you, so it would be more like practise for you :-
Here’s the website if you want to browse it. And there are likely to be some errors and messes in content, I’m trying to fix it haha. http://www.ststephen-stow.com/joomla/index.php
You are not the only one, I am jobless too.
I’m in training for a job but I’ve been jobless for a long time period so I can feel your……whatever it is you’re feeling. I’m glad you’re not letting this put you down but find hope and can see beyond the current situation. Not many people like you out there. Have a nice weekend mate
@KnightInCROATIANarmor - But I still love you anyway.
@RestlessButterfly - And I you
wish you the best of luck!
Im not jobless but i loath my job and hate having to wake up and go to work
so i get the same idea in a since because I’ve been searching for a job forever but cant seem to find one
I like your monkey. giggles
@nov_way - Thanks
Yea I don’t feel too bad about the lack of a job, it would have been handy but I have other options.
The choice of work in my area is pretty limited so this was a good oppertunity.
And my weekend has been lovely, we have the sun again
but it’s mixed with snow and a REALLY cold wind :S
@Kellsbella - Indeed! Clearly this was not the oppertunity for me at this time and at least I gave it a go
just name the date and we’ll do it!
Aww lol I’d love to run around a couple with sparklers with you
Thank you for the comment, and wow that video is literally overflowing with pep…I wanna go win something…or invade something not sure which.
@Cestovatelka - Thanks
And also thanks for the oppertunity for experiance, of course I don’t mind looking even without pay, pay is nice but not a necessity.
As for the site well I’ve personally not used Joomla, which BTW is what is called a CMS (Content Management System) and open source one in fact.
But I’m sure I could figure it out enough to help…or maybe find handy tutorials that will enlighten you guys a bit…my one brief look at it before left me feeling a little daunted lol but it’s very popular so it has to be easy.
Another option that from the looks of that site I think would be worth thinking about is changing from Joomla to WordPress.
WordPress is a blogging platform, but it can be changed to pretty much any need (such as my photo site) or infact anything, and for your Church site it would be perfect.
Best of all the backend that allows you to control the content is SUPER easy to learn and use.
If you keep struggling and running into blocks with Joomla, seriously consider WP. It can be installed to your hosting directly, but to get used to it why not make a WP blog at wordpress.org and see what you think, it’s free and will be a good alternative.
I’ll also do some research into Joomla for you
@Persona_Grata -
I wish you luck in finding one.
nice!
I see you ahve you new Username too
@KnightInCROATIANarmor - Vauge pride at attempting to become a relatively normal person for once is what I was feeling lol
hehe
And thanks, but you are an annoying amount younger than me i think so it’s okay for you to be jobless for longer than me
Hope your weekend is progressing well man!
@Sparkybones - Yea I have to admit as much as I wanted to get this since it was a rare and good oppertunity…even just the test project and early mornings I put on my self were pretty tiring :/ So not sure how I would have fared at the real job bit.
I hope you find another one or something to love about it soon.
@Smokin_SultrySally - Okay….is the monkey with us right now?
*looks around worried*
@SaintBlue1131 - I don’t think I’m much younger than you lol but thanks
It’s okay that you didn’t get the job. You’ll have plenty of other opportunities, for sure.
As for the website, I don’t really need one now, but if I ever do, I’ll let you know

It’s always good to have more Xanga time
