A Bear is not just for Graduation

This poor little chap is somekind of graduation gift for the class of 2008 (according to his hat) and I spotted him in a terrible state clutching his diploma (to be fair it is sewn to him) all disheveled and bedraggeld on the shore in a pile of seaweed while I was out walkng.

So my bro picked him up and took him home, we stuck him in the washing machine and he's been sitting ontop of the fire drying ever since.

Not much more to say about him to be honest :) but I thought it was rather harsh that this little chap have his big day then be dumped into the sea. Makes me wonder which school it was and how far he has floated to get here. Lets hope the human has faired much better than his or her little furry companion.

With luck a slightly more meaningful post will be on the way at some point :P but I thought this had to be said ;)

How long ago did you find him?

@boxedwine - Not long, either he was only lost recently or he's been floating about since 2008 o.O
But I think it was sometime before NewYears.

Hmm, maybe that bear floated all the way from the United States to England?

I am going to lunch and will probably stop speculating right now.

Maybe he was in a shipwreck, or some child dropped him off a boat and has been missing him ever since. I hope he wasn't in the water since 2008, but he kind of looks well preserved for that. I'm very happy your brother rescued him, and that you are giving him a safe warm home. I'm really curious to know what the story is behind him, but I guess that will remain a mystery!

@Marica0701 - Ah I was wondering what level of school it was awarded for, glad to hear you held onto yours ;)

@Ikwa - Agreed :D

@PPhilip - Yeah I wonder O.o
I have no idea about the school systems here having never been, but I somehow doubt anywhere local gives away bears.

@EmilyandAtticus - Haha he could be the seed of all sorts of potential charming kids animated films :P

@SaintBlue1131 - I have a friend who has a stuffed frog, and  huge running joke with his friends that the frog travels a lot. So if he travels, he takes classic tourist pictures with the frog in it. If friends travel, he convinces them to take the frog. The result is an amazing and hilarious set of pictures, all featuring the frog. Maybe your bear will have similar adventures. Or already has!
