@Want2FitIn2Fat2Fit - I've heard of them both, but only listened to the Hobbit and LOTR. I had the abridged versions on tape for years and loved them, thne watched the movies and now finally have gotten almost all the way through an un-abridged Lotr reading on tape...OMG the original is soooooo much more amazing than any abridgement :D

Not gotten to the Silmarillion atall yet though.
