Tunes Tuesday #5
This one I bet not many have heard of
This is a track from a Tuvan band, for those wondering Tuva is somewhere in Mongolia and this is Mongolian throat singing and traditional music, might not sound that great when it is described but give it a listen because it is actually really nice and quite hypnotic.
Kara Turuya – Altai Sayan Tandy-Uuka
No idea what the lyrics are, probably something to do with a horse

I dug this fella. Now why do you call it throat singing?
Thank you for posting this Bede!
I have been having jaw problems lately most likely due to stress. I haven’t been able to get it to calm down and stop feeling so tightened (not sure that’s the right word lol), and listening to this cured it! Seriously, thanks!
It is different but I do really like the uniqueness of it.
It kinda sounded a bit like some Aboriginal music that I have.
@Kellsbella - Sort of sonds like saying the same thing twice…since if not your throat then what are you going to sing with?…actually don’t answer that
But I think thats what it is called, that sort of strange noise they make.
@wyrdkismet - Hurray!
I’m so glad I could help.
My jaw has been a bit sore for weeks now too :/ not sure it is stress on my part but it is annoying.
Hope life gets a bit more relaxing for you
@Annieothergirl - Yeah It is strange but I quite like this sort of music from time to time.
@Marica0701 - It is somewhat similar I suppose
Peaceful and intense at the same time… I appreciate the trance it sends me into!
Your taste in music is impeccable, sir. You’ll be getting a lot more footprints
@soulofacancer - Nice way of describing it
And thank you! hehe I have a pretty varied taste in music so there should be something for everyone eventually.
