Sweets from the Sweet
With a big thanks to @Marica0701 and @mrs-foodlover for this wonderful box of sweeties and lovely card
These are my prizes from the Halloween contest, so thank you to all who voted for me aswell! This is the second time i’ve won something from this fun competition, so make sure you mark it in your Xanga calendar for next year it’s well worth entering
Other things to today, I sorted a computer issue and taught a nice old lady how to check her e-mail.
I also stayed over with a friend last night, which is always fun since he’s a decent relaxed sort of chap with a respectable enjoyment for good films (and bad ones
) and Xbox games He also has a young daughter who never fails to beat everyone up lol which is a nice way to spend an evening
Then in the morning I sent off a package for a fellow Xangan, bought something (a rare event for someone with such currently limited funds) and even found a free 20pence outside the bank
Finally I perfectly timed in with my dad driving back home from town which saved me a 10 mile hitchhike in the pouring rain. Got home nice and early, for plenty of toast, coffee and Dune on audio book ^_^ what could be better!
How’s that for a slice of fried gold!

I’m glad your dad could give you a ride home. Did you know hitchhiking is illegal here, at least in some states?

Congratulations, Bede! I used to love eating Cow Tales when I was younger. Mostly, I think I just liked the name. Cow Tales are very easy to play with.

@lanney - I didn’t know it was illegal?…but I’d not be comfortable hitching anywhere other than around my ery small local area. Some folks i’ve talked to though hitch all over the place, even in or near cities :S

Hmm never read the books myself, but I think my dad read it to me and there were some awesome Dune computer games, so it’s a real treat to hear the full thing on audio book.

Yes, that’s probably wise. It’s neat to hear stories from some of the older men I know about their hitchhiking experiences. One of them had nothing to do the summer he was 15, so he hitchhiked halfway across the country to see the Grand Canyon. He met a lot of interesting people and only who was scary at all. Kind of made me wish I could do it myself.
