  • Stranger Friend

    With thanks once again to @babieboo_annie for starting another very nice and uplifting post chain here :D

    She’s like a one woman antidote to depression hehe (Change the Subject)

    The subject she changed to was that of the impact ‘strangers’ can have upon our lives, those moments when you meet someone and perhaps they are just someone you will pass by and never see again or perhaps they will become a friend you will treasure for the rest of your life.

    This is never more possible than online and with social communities like Xanga.

    For me this site has been my first and largest expression of social needs that I’ve ever had in life. Before I came here my social circle was tiny, small enough that I could count them on one hand i’d think, and of that number none were often seen or interacted with.

    So every interaction i’ve had and every person i’ve met here and via my larger and more far reaching exploration online has given me something truly unique. And it has been facinating some of the things I have experianced.

    I have met people I respected, been inspired by, envied, loved, felt akin to, worried for, feared, wondered about, desired and so many more emotions and states.

    Even with the distance and disconnection of the internet there is something that goes beyond simple text, interaction and deeds. Some people I have met and often even irregardless of how many times we talk or deal with each other I have felt a connection to them that goes beyond anything I could have expected or imagined.

    My closest and best friends are here, people I have fallen in love with and even those that I would swear are somehow long lost siblings. The impact whatever we are can have on others is wonderful, it is a power that can be guided in many directions but the vast majority have been good for me on this site and from the people I have known and met.

    I am grateful for everyone one of you and the impact and changes on my mind and life you and your words have had, so to follow the style of An’s post here’s a random list of some awesomely lovely Xangans :)

    @roadlesstaken @lkjslain @xXxlovelylollipop @fabolousclown @I_Love_burma @xdeelynnx @nushirox2 @endless21echos @kellsbella @itetpi @jennylovve @naughty_virgin @knightincroatianarmor @alovingadversary @wyrdkismet @boxedwine @restlessbutterfly @marica0701 @yearofthebeautiful

    Quite frankly there are just too many hehe :D So to all and to everyone I did not mention I give you this….HUGS (something I learnt from another wonderful Xangan hehe) Just imagine I’m huggiing you as tightly as this tiny rodent his hugging is space laser :P lol
