To A Muse
I need you…
You…that single point of inspirations light, a gentle kiss on a moonless night, a globe of unseeable, unattainable light that once held is no longer bright.
Your loss and lack makes hearts sore and drives your seekers to madness’ door.
But for that moment, that embrace such darkness is easy to face.
The shadows you cast are teasingly faint, bearing witness to your purity but reaching far too short, though just enough for like a moth we are caught.
I need you. I want you. I know you…your touch, your taste, your scent and embrace…but I can never find you, only ever left to seek and wait.
So be it then, if this is to be my fate then I am happy to wait…and wait.
Regards my love, yours forever with hope I wait.
Been ages since I tried any poetry…and to be honest I was never very good at it anyway
but for what it’s worth here’s one.

I like it
Bede–I like your poetry, awesome job! I am not good at poetry myself–though wish I had some talent in the area…How’s everything going for you?!
don’t talk yourself down
!
It was really good.
Your poetry is beautiful and you paired it nicely. Great job!
@KnightInCROATIANarmor - Thanks Boris
@Endless21Echos - Thanks Erin
Yeah it’s tricky writing poems…I’d love to be able to write one of those really beautiful ones, but I need more practice I think.
@under_the_carpet - Aww thanks Anne
@Cestovatelka - Thank you!
i’ll get it sent as soon as i get myself organized.
I bought you a postcard today…finally
@NoForevers - Thank you, not my photo but I thought it was just right for the poem
Ooo a postcard?
Thank you so much!
Calm down. I’m here, and believe it or not; I need you too, baby.
In all seriousness, that was beautiful. Delete the end (you mustn’t dog yourself) After all, there are xangans that will do that for you.
I’ve been neglecting xanga because of house guests. I hope to catch up on more of your posts. Sadly, we have more guests arriving tomorrow….oh, joy!
Just out of curiousity, who is your poem about?
@Cestovatelka - :D yeah thought I should finally add to your collection.
@Kellsbella - Yay I wondered where you’d gotten to
hehe
Thank you for the compliments and offer of dogging…though that second bit is slightly not so nice
I’ve been pretty random on my Xanga time too it has to be said. I hope your guests are gracious, pleasant and leave quickly
As for the subject of my poem…well it’s not so much about anyone more like a feeling.
A combination of things I want to say and the frustration of not being able to say them, also those moments of inspiration where everything works so well together and you can create something beautiful…for me anyway are only ever a passing thing that I have to wait for rather than generate.
LOOK AT THIS CASANOVA.
@CaKaLusa - Huh?…where? *looks behind himself*
@SaintBlue1131 - Mmmm… I loved your explanation of your poem….delicious.
I’m going to pretend I’m sick to get out of boating with our house guests. Would you believe they brought an extra child and a cat they picked up at a gas station? I really don’t mind the child or the cat, but a heads up before 11:30 p.m. would’ve been nice…..
Now, I’m off to stalk calusa.
@Kellsbella - Now thats is a full service gas station!
lol
Fuel, Gum, Flowers, Felines…and kids
Now just wait a minuet are you telling me that you’re stalking other men on the side!!!??
Hehe good luck with the boat avoiding
I love this
enough said
Is this the plea to a muse that is going to lead to an epic tale of heroism? If it is, you’re doing it right.
@xdeelynnx - Hehe aww thanks
@angelwingfive - That would be an awesome muse to have
Too many computer games have made me look at the world as if there should be more hero’s and quests
That was truly beautifully written, Bede! I think you need to give yourself more credit.
I love reading poetry. It’s simply a peek into a person’s soul..you get to sense what’s in their heart.
@Babieboo_Annie - Aww thank you Ann
Thats really kind of you to say.
Speechless. you’re a natural.
@Veerise - Thank you so much
