• My Costume for Xanga Halloween

  Well finally i’ve gotten round to this, thanks to @cestovatelka for suggesting this contest idea

  Sadly for now I only have one costume and those who saw my videos for ASSCAT will have already seen it in one form (as will some FB folks) but i’ve added a few more bits and also done some shots wil Phootshop filters on for extra fun

  I’ve been very encouraged to see that a few of the other costume posters have also gone for Computer game characters, hurrah for the digital worlds!

  So here is my Fallout Universe costume: Fallout is a long running and very cool series of games based in a post apocolyptic world, where sometime during a somewhat alternate reality 1950′s China and America started a massive atomic war. Most if not all of the world was reduced to ashes and the surviving population where housed in massive vaults dotted about the planet (or possibly only in the states) thesse vaults where built and controlled by the mysterious and quite possibly evil Vault-Tec company who experimented with many of the vaults with terrible results.

  The main story however usually follows a Vault dweller whom you controll on their adventure to save your fellow vault residents by finding something out in the wasteland, within the wastes there are all many of mutants, monsters, raiders and strange new cultures that have survived and grown in the harsh radioactive world.

  Anyhoo, if you want to learn more go to wikipedia and if you want to play an awesome post apocolyptic game set in a detailed world, go buy one of the four (or five) epic Fallout games.

  Here is my wasteland setup, a bit of a random collection of stuff that could also be made to look SteamPunk with some extra effort.

  Also under each shot is a Photoshoped version for extra Fallout Goodness

  

  Hat and Nerf gun: I have several Fedoras this one i bought from Ebay, the Nerf gun is an actual model of one from the original (and best) Fallout games Fallout 1 & 2. I’m also wearing a Shemagh from Ebay.

  

  The Coat is a Drizabone trench coat from NZ I think, I love long coats and this one is although short in the arm very comfy, you can also see my archery brace for protecting the wrist, here used as leather armour….I don’t actually own a bow but I thought the brace was cool so i bought it also from ebay hehe

  

  

  Not too easy to see but my camera ran out of batteries so i couldn’t get a closer shot, my waist coat is a leather jacket that i cut the arms off and sewd a few etra buttons and some keys to, it looks kind of cool for a steampunk world but also works for more wasteland leather armour, the holster is made of the same jacket one of its arms infact. I also have another archery brace on my upper left arm, and a couple of leather belts on my leg.

  Well I’m not going to win anything, considering the other competitors (the ones i’ve seen are brilliant) but there it is my Fallout Costume someday I shall have many MANY more costume.
