Just a little bit Gay.
Just recently the always lady like and polite Amalia (Fabolousclown) called me Gay
and it got me thinking about the subject.
First off if i’m honest if i met me i’d be wondering if i was gay or not, for the following reasons: (and here follows a rather lazy list of TV stereotypes that I of course do not mean any offence by)
I say Fabulous way too much,
I’m very neat and like to wear my clothes in a particular way (folded collars, tucked shirt etc).
I like and want a moustache (not even sure why this is such a Gay stereotype but acording to TV world it is.
I adore women and want to be one (given the choice i’d have picked female).
I just wrote a sentance with the words ‘I adore women’ in it.
I like German disco music from the 1980′s, Queen, Avril Lavigne and various other similar types of music.
I love Costumes and dressing up, Given the money i’d have wardrobes of TV/Game/Anime Costumes and replicas.
I find the male form beautiful…(no admittedly not physically attractive) but some guys are just plain gorgeous in an asthetic way.
And I’m sure i could list more but you get the picture. Now the thing thats interesting to me is that despite all that i’m not Gay simply because Women are actually sexually attractive to me and no amount of other less stereotypically heterosexual habits and behaviour is gonna change that but still i find that when in the limited experiance of interacting with other men i’ve had there’s a definate pressure not to be for want of a better term ‘too gay’
Take for example women, they can quite happily say “wow she’s gorgeous” or compliment a another woman without everyone thinking they are lesbians, but if a man were to say “wow he’s handsome” certianly around the areas i’ve see it would leave only one conclusion. This kind of annoys me I don’t think we should be limited by such silly fears and social norms, much like when a woman can appreciate another attractive woman so should men be free to do the same.
It’s seems like evidence of crazy old perspectives that no longer fit and if only more men were willing to be just a little bit gay we’d all be much freer and less self conscious when interacting with other dudes.
The very funny quote from Seinfeld comes to mind: Elaine”You know, just admitting that another man is attractive doesn’t necessarily make you a homosexual.” = George”It dosen’t help”
hehehe
Anyway once again i reach the end of my post with no idea what my point is or how to end it with any sense of conclusion so i’ll just say Thanks to every one who is Gay or straight as long as your ‘Free’ to be who you are because the more people like you the better this whole world is going to be, so stay Fabulous!
Oh also go here and Vote on the ASSCAT, make sure you check out the submissions before making your choice, and also give it a REC. Thanks

Props to you for writing this
. I have loads of feminine personality traits too, but like you said, it’s totally different from being sexually attracted to guys!
@pika_whoosh - Thanks
Yep somehow girls know how to keep the right balance….guys are either really macho or super gay, we rarely have a middle ground lol
@BFB1131 - hahaha i’d say im ok well balanced, i’m definitely not super gay! and neither are you hahaha XD
Some of your feminine side makes you incredibly “man”!

p.s. Why did you choose that guy who doesn’t wear pants? :/
I think, it takes a real man to write something like this.
I miss you, Bede. I hope you’re doing great.
I think all men have some feminine traits just like women have the willingness to control, and have many male traits too but it’s because we’re human and have to have some common grounds to understand each other =D
@fabolousclown - Haha Thanks
And I was trying to find an attractive looking man….but got bored and just picked any old image from Google
@Rainboxx - :D Thank you Ritz. Miss you too *hugs*
@pinktiger335 - Very true
, it’s just annoying when people don’t accept that.
I agree with the above comment – it does take a real man to put this out there. Bravo! And try not to stress over the labels. A little gay, a lotta gay, bi curious, a little bi, a lotta bi. Just go with it, sexuality is fluid and sometimes can’t be labeled. =)
Gay means happy, so yes I think you’re gay. Amalia is gay too! Lol me too! We are one big gay family! Lol
@livexlovexlaughter - YAY!
@fabolousclown - I love your question!
We all need to just be ourselves. I think we come “wired” as we are supposed to be when we are born. And the variety of each of us makes the world a fun and interesting place!
You are delightful just as you are, Bede! Keep being you! I adore you!
HUGS!
i’m not gonna lie, when I saw the picture, i was definitely wondering lol
lol, I don’t think those attributes determine your sexuality
Some guys have some effeminate characteristics just like some girls are very tomboyish.
Either way, I like you for who you are
@livexlovexlaughter - Agreed. But Luc is the gayest guy ever
@AdamsWomanFell - Haha why thank you
Isn’t Bede weird?
@AdamsWomanFell - Yes!!! YAY!!!!! Let’s all be gay!!!
@BFB1131 -
Do you say Fabulous so much because you think Amalia is so fabulous? hehe
@fabolousclown -
SugarMuffin, you and my gay family make me gay….Luc makes me really gay!!!! See , lol
@fabolousclown - Haha I was so busy being gay I forgot to agree with you…..yes Luc is the biggest gay lol! Muah honeybunches!!
@AncoraImparo - Thanks
I like your comment.
@livexlovexlaughter - Hahaha A big Gay family lol very true
@AdamsWomanFell - Wise as always
And yes i’m happy with who i am, thank you for all your kindness
@Toy_Kite - Lol yeah he’s a little bit intense :S but no although some guys are attractive, it’s the ladies that really do it for me
@firetyger - I think your right, and thank you
@fabolousclown - I am weird, but so are you
@livexlovexlaughter - Haha yea her Fabulosity is infectious
@livexlovexlaughter - thousands muah for you too bebis ♥ ♥ (: (: (:
@BFB1131 - You are weird and so am I, and you know you are freak too
Oh wow I’m so infectious. I truly am freakbulous :p
@fabolousclown - Lmao! I snort laughed when I read this! You are the fabolous freakfabolous with all your fabulosity! muah!
I have to admit, the picture creeps me out a bit.
I do think it’s unfair, though, that women can be a lot more “masculine” than men can be “feminine” without being assumed gay.
GREAT post, Bede!! Ain’t a thing wrong with calling it like it is. Hey…if something’s fabulous you just gotta say it, champ.
@livexlovexlaughter - I’m gay for you, baby!!

@fabolousclown - Don’t be jealous, Amalia. Haha!
That’s Edilson Nascimento. As a gay man, I’d like to point out you did a very good job on the choice of photo.
@lanney - Interesting. I find the fact that most men are offended when someone assumes they’re gay to be more disconcerting. People assume I’m straight at times. I don’t get all huffy about it.
Isn’t that what a metrosexual is like? I gotta’ google metrosexual. Seriously, everything I know about metrosexuals I learned from South Park. Ignore this comment, I’ll get back to you.
Good post, man!
you are so right, men should not be held back by silly societal fears. But, alas, we are.
@livexlovexlaughter - Muah for you too, gorgeous!
@SuperLuc - Are you gay? Really? I did not know a monkey can be a gay too?
@Grtt – Yeah, I think there’s a stereotype of gay men being weak, but a lot of straight guys have an absolute phobia of the color pink, so who’s the tough guy anyway?
When I started college, a lot of people thought I was a lesbian, but then they found out I was just Southern.
@SuperLuc - :D very true Luc, thanks….and might i just say in a totally heterosexual way I love you man
@lanney - Lol yeah he’s a pretty intense guy :S
but yea girls just seem to be more natural about that sort of stuff, i suppose guy will get there eventually just got more conditioning to ignore.
@Grtt - Hey thanks
i wondered who it was, i was aiming to get somekind of art nude, but i didn’t want to mess with copyright and then this guy caught my eye in a google image search.
is there something about the south that suggests lesbianism? lol
@girlForgetful - Lol Yea i think it might be, either that or guys who use beauty products :S.
most likely in more ‘modern’ society guys are far more ‘metro’ but where i live ain’t that upto date.
thanks for your comment it made me smile
@thesoftlights@blackhk - Thanks, and yea it annoying, i’d would be nice if more guys were more relaxed about this sort of stuff.
@lanney - Hahaha I Love your ‘southern’ line
@SuperLuc - Aw dude Amalia just called you a monkey :p…..I think we have to kick these girls asses.
@BFB1131 - We just tend to be a lot “warmer” is all. Saying, “Honeychild, whyn’t y’all come set on my lap and I’ll tell y’all a little bedtime story” apparently sends a different message in the frigid northern states.
@fabolousclown - Okay thats it ‘shower girl’ no one calls Luc a Monkey and gets away with it!
time to bring the Nerd-Fu!! >:)
I’m gay for you.
@JinnLedet - Hmm not exactly what i was aiming for….but hey I’d have no chance with an equivalently hot female so lets do this!
Haha you’re not gay, you’re adorkable! I wld totally love to have you as my friend in real life. Why do you have to live so far away!?
Also, I voted for you. All the best Bede!
@vrndm - :D Thank you Amirah! I’d love to know you in real life too, all the best people live too far away
when i’m rich enough i’m going to do a Xangan tour for sure.
Big ))hugs(( for voting for me
@BFB1131 - :D You’re welcome. *big hug*
You’re too manly to be a gay.
@RestlessButterfly - Haha thanks
