Proof that sometimes, the sun dose shine in Scotland
These are a few pics to explain why i’ve not been on line for the past few days
Also been quite active recently, i’ve walked a lot, paddled on the Loch and yesterday managed to get in some random Golf several walks, metal detecting AND a game of poker!
We have a Yurt
( for those who don’t know it’s a mongolian tent)
Early morning calm…yes sometimes i wake early….rarely.
I loved the different levels of colour here.
Gotta have at least one cloud shot, these were amazing.
Yesterdays wonderful evening. Later this night i went for a night walk under the endless stars.
More sunset.

Beautiful photos. Thanks for sharing.
I wanna be where you are…
You’re not from here are you?
Can’t believe you actually have a Yurt, what do you do in there?
@Rainboxx - Thanks
@LKJSlain - Currently it is pretty damn wonderful
@Margo73 - I’m not scottish, i was born in england…but i’ve lived in the highlands for most of my life, so i intend to enjoy this good weather for as long as we have it before the rain comes back :p
@Days_likethis - Not much currently, we did have a bed in there for a bit…but it got pretty damp and mouldy over the winter. Now we are drying it out again and hopefully we’ll get somekind of heat source in there eventually.
You live in the highlands, oh cool!!! Well can we call you a Scot then since I’m the only one I know of on here and won’t feel so alone!
@Margo73 - Haha, yeah i’m okay with being a scot
to be honest i’ve never been all that connected to nationality in the first place, plus i have lived here for at least 20 years.
@BFB1131 - 20 years? Wow. Any reason you chose to live up north?
@BFB1131 - @Margo73 - WOOT the Scots are in the house!
@squeakysoul - Ha ha….I thought I was the only one!!! We are taking over Xanga, there are 2 of us!! lmao
@squeakysoul - Sort of make the vastness of the internet a little smaller knowing there are fellow Xangans close by
Thanks for the invite
@Margo73 - Well I was only a toddler at the time (if not younger) so it wasn’t really my choice lol
But i have to admit, i can’t think of anywhere else i’d like to live more than here now.
It’s just so peacefull and empty
plus although the rain and long cold winters are sometimes depressing, they also provide a perfect enviroment for computer use so it’s perfect for getting my nerd on
@BFB1131 - So you have the broad accent then? It would be great to live in that peaceful environment. Empty? You must have the occasional neighbour or so? Admitedly, if its quite quiet then the compter is the perfect nerdy tool lol. I can imagine the weather up north, we have been getting great warm days down here.
@Margo73 - No i’m still very english sounding…slightly tempered by TV
I was home-schooled and am pretty much a recluse so my accent has stayed similar to my parents.
here’s a vid with my accent on it CLICK
And yes sadly a few neighbous have popped up in recent years, but for most people it’s still basically empty up here
I love it!
Really? I like quiet but i think i would find it difficult to cope with too much. I can imagine the seclusion then. I guess thats why you find Xanga and facebook quite a good way of interacting with folk if there are not many about. But it’s what you are used to like you say, I can imagine you would appreciate your environment more. I tried to click on the link but it wouldn’t work.
@Margo73 - damn link it changed to the comment box…weird. Just go to my videos and check out the Q&A Answers.
Yeah i’ve always been more comfortable in the quiet, but it is nice to have a place like Xanga to be able to interact a bit everynow and then.
But your in edinburgh right? thats got some really nice quiet places in and around it but without the sense of desolation you get further north
AAAAAYYYYYYE jus came down from the Isle of Skye, Ah’m no very big an Ah’m awful shy; the lassies shout when Ah go bye “DAHNALD wer’ yer troooosers?!”
i miss Scotland.
@theloniusmarx - Hehe you won’t get far on skye without your trousers…not without loosing certain attachments
Gorgeous view!
