Facial Hair, What should I do?
Time for something a little more jolly than all my various illnesses.
So Facial hair, or more accurately a moustache.
I’ve never been very good at growing a beard it doesn’t really seem to grow all in one piece which is never a good look, but I can grow a moustache and gotee the question is should I?Personally I really like moustaches, I have a bit of a 1920’s 30’s fashion thing and tend to be drawn to that sort of style and a moustache always looks good with that look.
But there are draw backs, due to my face and dress sense there are times when I can resemble a certain famous fascist leader which is never a comforting sight, also there’s generally not a very good reputation of the moustached with many sit-coms and the like characterising them rather harshly.
And the final and most telling argument against is that most people said I looked much better without my tash, but really I don’t want other people to control how I dress or appear because I love clothes and playing around with appearance and as long as I can ignore embarrassment prefer to just wear and do what I want and forget others, and I do like moustaches.But still I’m not sure so what do your think? Should I go for what I want and look a bit more strange? Or should I stick with clean shaven and fit in better?
Also should I try the gotee? so far I’ve never ‘gone there’ but have been tempted if only because it’s actually the one form of beard I can grow.
Anyway opinions and input would be gratefully received.

I think you should just grow the goatee. The mustache idk on you it looks kinda funny, but a goatee would be cool. Ultimately you should do what you want. Personal style and self expression i feel is very important. You can grow into a certain look and make it your own. To me this shows character and is much more interesting. Personally i love a zztop looking guy that rides a chopper. SO HOT! My man is bald but it fits him. He buzzes his head and is blonde so can’t grow much facial hair, but his style works. The mustache may look better to when the goatee grows in more now that i take a second look. I SAY GO FOR IT.
I honestly think you look better without it… but, it’s ME we’re talking about here, I’ve never been a big advocate for facial hair! lol… It’s YOUR face, YOUR body, YOUR life, and I will love you either way
I never found mustaches attractive, but if that’s what you want, do it! Who cares what other people think. They might even like it although you say it’s a bit strange yourself lol
I am all for the gotee. The guys I’ve been with that had little gotees.. I thought it was hott heh
goatee w/o facial hair would be pretty cool, or just go without. ^_^ But I’m sure you’ll be happy with whatever.
Get rid of the goatee, keep the mustache. I like it.
perhaps your moustache would look less like this person’s if you made it a bit thinner especially right below your nose where it grows more to the top, which emphasises the middle..normally a moustache that is as wide as this shouldnt look like Hitler’s. I personally like the moustache- goatee combo that some men have ( but you need a few more hairs on your chin for that). Mhh I also think you look somehow youger in the second pic, maybe bc your facial hair isn’t so strong /thick.(but I think that impression changes if you trim it more). I’d try it, you can always shave if off again if you don’t like it.

Since it’s you my Xanga Valentine your a pretty strong against on the moustache, but pro gotee….hmmmm

@RunTroughTheRain - Yeah thats a good point, it takes time for it to grow out to the sides so it tends to get a bit hitlerish in the middle lol
And I look younger because….I was hehe, the top one is me right now, and the bottom one was taken a while ago, it’s just i don’t have many good shots of me with moustache so i had to use that one.

I actually prefer no mustache on you, but it should definitely be your decision & what you feel best in.

@HelloKitty0809 - Yeah i might grow sort of one and then photo it….but i’m not sure i’ll stick with a beard just yet, interesting to hear peoples thoughts though.

Maybe you could try the scruffy look too… like a -little bit- in general, like a partial beard… I’ve always thought that’s sexy, haha. Not long hair, just a little bit of it. ^-^

, yeah i think i might stick with no beard or moustache for awhile yet. And a partial beard wouldn’t be hard for me….thats how it grows

@HisKeiki - Yeah I agree. I find men to be irresistable with three days of hair on their face. I also really dig the “my barber is death” look.

Well i’ve been encouraged by all the Gotee support….but i reckon i’ll stick with clean shaven for now, but i have been growing a beard over the last few days so that i can take a pic of what ‘gotee me’ might look like, i’ll post it up when i’ve done it.

Well, mustaches are making a bit of a comeback with young men, at least here in the US. I say nobody should ever tell a man what to do in regard to his facial hair, SO if you want to grow a ‘stache and/or goatee, do it! Don’t worry about what the media/people say. In fact, there’s a movement every November called Movember, aka No Shave November, wherein men grow a mustache (or full beard) to raise money/awareness for men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer, etc. You should totally go Guy Fawkes/V for Vendetta with it: http://www.philipcoppens.com/vendetta_07.jpg

And having now grown the most bear i’ve ever had…i’m pretty sure i’m gonna stick with clean shaven
beards and moustaches are fun but too annoying to have for too long lol
Thanks for the suggestions though, I may do a Guy Fawkes for fun as i’m shaving come Dec1st 
Maybe in a few years i’ll be more up to the challenge
