  • What’s a funny story you like to tell or recently heard?

There’s an amusing and quite odd story i only just this evening remembered and told which is way too much of a coincidence to ignore with this question popping up so…..

I was on a long Coach trip down the UK, it was an over night coach and the journey is about 12 – 14 hours so there’s an onboard toilet. About three quaters through the trip when most people were either asleep or pretty spaced out, I and few other people saw a middle aged asian guy go into the tiny toilet room at the back of the bus, this is not a big coach really and the toilet is as small as possible with nothing in it more than just the necessary.

After about 20 mins as far as i could tell and from the way people were looking about as far as the other ppl could tell also the guy had not emerged, roughly another 10 mins past and finally either the driver got curious or someone mentioned it and the bus actually stopped and the driver went back to open up the toilet and check to see if the guy was okay.

When the door opened to by now pretty much everyones suprise the toilet was found to be empty.

What happened to the guy i really can’t say, I couldn’t see him in the bus but maybe he had just slipped out somehow and sat down at the back but whatever happened it was a pretty good trick :)

I just answered this Featured Question; you can answer it too!

  • bahahaha I was expecting some hilarious nasty ending. I suppose it was a good trick. I didn’t find this funny, but it’s funny and cute you answered this lol :)

  • @jennylovve - heh yeah it was more funny-odd than funny-funny

  • whoah! That’s pretty crazy, now I wish there was a concrete conclusion!! haha but good way to phrase the story,  like the above girl I thought it was going to end with some diarrhea story haha :P

  • That was weird. Maybe he did some magic trick. Or … maybe he was a ghost? :P

  • Lol. I like it! ninja!

  • Wow, that’s weird.

  • @swtaznxtc90 - Haha no no you’ll get no diarrhea stories from me….although there was this one time with a dead weasle in a stream….

@kyalzinlay - Good point i could have been on a haunted bus spooky

@vixenELECTRIC - Yeah either he found another way out or ws just SUPER sneaky

@A_NY_Zone61 - I thought it was just me untill the driver actually stopped, it was just bizarre.

  • So, the door was still locked?

  • @Days_likethis - I can’t be sure because it was the driver who went to open it, but he certianly knocked for a while before opening it. I got the impression it was locked, but then there’s no way the guy could have gotten out unless he found a secret access to the cargo hold or something.
It’s hard to be accurate in perception after 10 hours in a bus.

  • @BFB1131 - Just the thought of a 10 hour busdrive is making me throw up. Everybody is complaining, sweating, smelling really really bad, ugh.

So why did you take that bus?

  • @Days_likethis - Haha you’ve been on the wrong busses. I quite like traveling by bus (and infact the whole trip is more like 14hours, it’s just the guy vanished about 10hours in :) ) For the most part i used busses because it’s the cheapest option, but i also like how they feel and when it’s an overnight trip they don’t make stops so it’s more relaxing, plus you’ve got the chances of being sat next to an interesting person.

I will admit though they are super uncomfrotable, I’m 6 foot 4 so no vehicle has enough legroom really and busses are a nightmare for that, but cars are worse often and you get more vibration in cars. I don’t travel much but if i have to i’d always choose a bus.

  • Ha! that woulda’ freaked me out! But made me laugh, too.
    HUGS!

  • @BFB1131 - You actually made busses sound like fun. Thank you for that. If I have to choose, i would choose the train. Because it’s just a little more comfortable, a little more space.

So are you from the UK? I can imagine all the rain over there having a soothing effect.

  • @Days_likethis - Yeah I live in Scotland….so i get even more soothing rain lol (i’ve never thought of it as soothing before)

Hmm i’m glad i managed to change your mind a bit :) but trains would certianly be better for really long trips, I’d love to take one of those long Trains journeys like in Canada or Europe.

    You in the states?

  • Nope. Europe, mainland.

Fortunately we have lots of trains, even for the short trips (think 5-15 minutes, seriously!). Which I find a huge difference comparing to busses.

Rain can be soothing. I love walking in the rain, gives me a clear mind.
